Why should you get to know Girl_Racer?

... Not all women who come from Suffolk are toothless hags with beards and boss eyes. I have a full set of my own teeth, shave regularly and only squint when I'm tired or have had too much to drink.

Apparently unlike many of the people on this site, I have no sporting prowess whatsoever and am not likely to throw myself off a cliff any time soon, although I do have my bronze survival medallion and can inflate a pair of pyjamas in a swimming pool. Having said that, I do like to go running or to the gym regularly to keep myself fit. Otherwise, I enjoy all the usual things - films, theatre and books (but pleeeeeze will no one ever, ever again take me to see a ragga poet live - or even dead - on stage). I also love going to events with my classic sports car, travelling anywhere in the world and throwing parties on whatever scale! My musical tastes are fairly catholic and I would really enjoy going to see more live music. I'm always open to other people's interests as well as enjoying my own and a very handy companion to have because I seem to have developed a talent for scamming free beers and extra samples of single malt at various beer festivals and whisky tasting events.

I'm now setting out to pursue my dream of becoming a writer - in my spare time at the moment. I wonder if someone on here could make my other dreams come true?

Actually, I don't have a particular shopping list of what I'm looking for because I'm rather excited at the prospect of meeting Mr Right and finding out what he is like. I don't think there is anything such as the perfect person, which is why relationships require thought and attention. I know what won't work for me, but believe that similarities could help and it would be good to meet someone of like intelligence, background and qualities, who is not too much of a couch potato and enjoys getting out and about and experiencing new things. I would hope that you are as warm and loving as I am and take an interest in a wide variety of things and the world around you in general. Friends and family are very important to me and I would hope that they are to you, too, because I would still love to have a family of my own someday. For the right person, I would go to the ends of the earth - and maybe even another ragga poetry performance...
